Making competences transparency a reality |
|
TRACE will increase the transparency of competencies and skills among EU countries, regions and sectors, facilitating the uptake and adoption of eLearning through a better understanding of the competencies-related challenges that still exist in the eLearning sector. In today’s knowledge society, competences are not only a way to gather knowledge, skills and attitudes relevant in the workplace but also a new way to communicate for learning, guidance, community building, employment and business partnership, and to build identity profiles of individuals, organisations and communities. Unfortunately but undoubtedly, competence systems are almost as many as countries and organisations because they are the result of economic, social, but above all, cultural and organisational consensus processes that have produced different models, systems or simply practices of representation and aggregation of competencies. |
